Camping and caravanning in France is really a luxury holiday, with fantastic local produce to discover.
The Sologne, between the Loire and the Cher, is close to some of the most famous French vineyards. To the west, the wines of Sancerre, known all over the world, will delight the best connoisseurs. To the east, there are the large vineyards of Touraine. The little vineyards of Menetou Salon, Giennoie and Quincy will charm the most curious.










There is no doubt that Sancerre is one of the few localities in France which can take advantage of possessing several AOC labels. After its wines, it's a goat cheese, the "crottin de Chavignol”, which by decree of February 13, 1976 was admitted to the noble family of AOC labels.
Camping, France, mobile home? The freedom to enjoy all local specialties – including the famous overturned caramelized apple tart from Lamotte Beuvron. The legend says that one of the Tatin sisters who ran the Hotel Restaurant in front of the station, one day, inadvertently, forgot the pastry under the apples and thus by a happy coincidence, created the tart that bears her name. The Hotel Tatin still exists and you can discover there all the secrets of making and tasting the famous tart.
At teatime discover the simple and sweet pleasures of Sologne: “palets solognots” with their rum-raisin flavour or “sables de Nancay”. Both biscuits will delight your taste buds!
