To celebrate 500 years of the construction of the castle, Chambord offers a great exhibition: Chambord 1519 - 2019, Utopia at work.
A first heritage part will present the original project of Chambord and the inspiration of Leonardo da Vinci. A second contemporary part will present the projects of major international universities that will virtually transform Chambord into architectural utopia of the 21st century.

Saturday : Colloquium open to all “Chambord, Cheval et Renaissances”.
Sundays : for the pleasure of visitors, the estate will be entertained by 500 riders and leaders in period costume for a horse riding stroll on three promenades marked by entertainment.
The Festival will this year be “colourful” in Italy and utopian in order to echo the 500th anniversary of the monument and the exhibition that will be on display at the time of the Festival: Italian composers and references to Italy will thus meet modern and contemporary utopias, with a special focus on youth and some projects off the beaten track.

On the occasion of the celebration of the 5th centenary of Leonardo da Vinci's death at the Clos Lucé on 2 May 1519, the tapestry of the Last Supper based on Leonardo da Vinci's famous fresco will be presented for the first time outside the Vatican and Italian Museums.
July 18, 19 and 20, 2019
Clos Lucé will be the setting for a theatrical and musical nocturnal adventure created especially for this 500 years by the Quebecois Martin Bellemare and Didier Girauldon.
